Since marrying Jeanie in 1999, we’ve been blessed with four amazing kids. As we guide them toward adulthood, we're continually learning about leadership—both in theory and in practice. Everything I teach about leadership is something I apply daily in my own home.

My leadership journey began shortly after we got married when I started developing leaders within a church context. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of learning from outstanding leaders and, just as importantly, from the mistakes I've made while building and leading hundreds of teams.

In 2011, I took a bold step and planted a new church in the heart of Houston, Texas. Leading this community has been an incredible experience, allowing me to develop and guide teams across diverse environments, from public schools and community development organizations to local sports groups.

Through these experiences, I’ve crafted a simple yet powerful system for developing leaders. My passion lies in helping both non-profit and for-profit leaders create and multiply healthy, thriving teams. I firmly believe that great cities are built on great businesses, and great businesses are built on healthy teams. At the core of every healthy team is a leader who is consistently growing in self-awareness and awareness of others. This growth isn’t always easy, and that’s why I founded Catalyzing Leadership.
